How often should massage therapy be administered?

We know that simply breathing air pollution alone brings toxins into the body. An excellent way to gauge the frequency of professional massage one may need depends on a number of factors. Firstly, what kind of stress is built up upon the body? Stress can appear in many different forms such as knots (toxins & waste), tension, pain, soreness, and even certain discomforts appearing as dull or sharp pains. Since not everyone processes toxins at the same rate, Secondly, how often massage should be administered depends on how well your body and lifestyle allow your internal systems to process the waste. Thirdly, how much time do you have set aside for the healing therapy session per month or per week/quarter? Lastly, affordability with your budget on how often you can receive massage therapy.


Being a massage therapist I like to think, the more massage you receive the merrier your mind, body, and soul will feel. There is no real limit to massage therapy. If you wanted to roll out of bed every morning onto the table and again at night before bed. You totally could and wouldn't that be the life!? The truth is you absolutely have at least one hour per month/quarter and the money to afford it. In the mean and between time I like to encourage clients to get familiar with self-therapy and learning how to help themselves in between sessions. Learning and understanding about your own body challenges and how to assist in your own time to bring the body to a well state.
